Refresh Mode¶
Refresh Mode detects content that is losing performance and helps you update it to recover traffic.
Info
Refresh Mode requires a Google Search Console connection.
How decay detection works¶
RankerBase compares your Search Console metrics across 28-day rolling windows. Content is flagged for refresh when any of these conditions are met:
| Signal | What it means |
|---|---|
| CTR drop | Significant decline in click-through rate |
| Position drop | Average position drops by 3 or more positions |
| Clicks drop | Clicks decline by 40% or more |
Decay detection runs automatically on a weekly schedule, or you can trigger it manually from the site settings page.
Refresh pipeline¶
- Detect — Decay detection creates refresh tasks with the decay reason
- Generate brief — AI generates a refresh brief analyzing what needs to change
- Review — You review and approve the refresh plan
- Execute — Updated content is pushed to the publishing platform
- Monitor — Performance is tracked post-refresh
Refresh queue¶
The refresh queue page shows all refresh tasks with:
- Content title and URL
- Decay reason (CTR drop, position drop, clicks drop)
- Current status (pending, briefed, approved, pushed)
- Inline actions for each task
Supports status filters and bulk operations for managing large refresh queues.
Plan restrictions¶
Refresh Mode is available on Growth and Agency plans.
